PayByPhone parking app offline
The PayByPhone parking app is currently off-line across the country. Our suppliers are working to resolve the issue. This only affects car parking payments by phone via the app, you can still pay at machine via:
- Contactless
- PIN
- Coin
- Apple pay
- Samsung pay
Please note enforcement will still take place as normal, anyone wishing to pay for parking should the PayByPhone software not be working, please ensure you purchase a ticket on-site at the payment machines as they are still accepting coins/cash.
Online council tax system currently unavailable
Our online council tax system is currently unavailable due to a technical issue. At the moment, you will not be able to log into our website or your online council tax account. We are working to get this fixed as soon as possible.

General Waste - Islay and Jura - 23.07.2024
Due to a vehicle breakdown we've not been able to collect General Waste since Tuesday 23.07.2024.
The vehicle is currently undergoing essential maintenance. Please take your bin in from it's collection point.
The areas affected are The Oa on Islay and The Three Arch Bridge to Inverlussa on Jura
We'll be looking to perform a catch-up service from Tuesday 30.07.2024 so please present your bin for collection then.
Maintenance to online parking system
From Tuesday 30th July 24 from 8.30am until 11.30am some services will not be available whilst we carry out essential maintenance. Parking Charge Notices (PCNs) and Parking Permits will be affected. Payment of a PCN, raising a parking charge challenge or applying for a parking permit will not be possible during this time. Please be aware that parking charges will still apply in our car parks and attendants will be on duty.
Electrical Vehicle Charger faults
We have a number of faults with EVC chargers across 撸sir视频 and Bute at the moment, please see info below. Please visit for live and full EVC status updates.

A819 Electric Cottage - April 2024
Following previous works being halted due to severe weather damage to our roads and bridges infrastructure, October 2023 we were later able to re-start works on the A819 Electric Cottage. This is essential works to improve our road network.
Works recommenced on Monday 13 November 2023 at Electric Cottage under the control of traffic lights. PH 3 of the works dealt with the southern section of the scheme , excavating rock faces and filling embankments to re-align and widen the carriageway, along with associated improvements in roadside drainage and culverts.
Work continues under traffic light control at Electric Cottage to Inveraray - April 2024 - to complete re-alignment and widening of southern section to form a temporary running surface, under 2-way traffic .
Phase 4 widening scheduled to follow-on May - August 2024 to complete the widening and re-alignment of the section northwards, including the extension or replacement of culverts under the carriageway. Temporary traffic control by traffic lights, will be in place past the works.
Street Lighting - Mull - B8035 Through Salen From A848 Junction To Kennedy's Garage
We are aware of lighting faults on the B8035 Salen.
We require the assistance of SSE for a new connection. We have requested a quote for this work and once this has been accepted we will provide a further update advising of a target completion date.
